Ucluelet | Wild Pacific Trail |
The Wild Pacific Trail opened in 1999 and is a great hike. It is wide and well-maintained, and offers views you won't find anywhere else in the area. There are many scenic viewpoints along the 2km trail, with park benches to stop and take in the magnificent scenery. The trail currently starts at the end of Coast Guard Rd, passing by the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse and ending at He-Tin-Kis Park. Future plans will extend the trail. These pictures were taken on the trail in June of 2000:
